Replacing the Old with the New
Together

        We live with a lot of chaos, confusion and turmoil now. Old patterns are breaking up, disappearing and being replaced with new and different ways.

        This changing time is not unexpected. We live in a universe with predictable cycles. One such cycle is the precession of the equinoxes which relates the speeds of the Earth's rotation around the Sun and the rotation of our galaxy. This is thought to take between 25,700 to 25,800 years with 25,772 years being favored, or, alternatively, 2160 years to pass through a zodiac constellation x12 for a 25,920 year cycle as another option. There is also no consensus as to when Earth enters a particular constellation. It is commonly accepted that we are entering or have recently entered the age of Aquarius which also may be the starting point of this cycle.
        There are other cycles. And there may be a unique event now and then. Discussions about such matters are akin to ones about when the Soul joins the body in relation to the birthing of a new human. This follows a universal rule this writer discovered decades past: The total number of versions of a story is equal to the total number of tellers plus one [the truth]. This last item indicates there are many possibilities for each and every change.

        This current occasion appears to be a natural event following the patterns of development and spiritual evolution among humans. Remember we are spirit beings manifesting physical vessels in this universe. We are now transitioning from one 26,000 year cycle to another with incomplete information as to what happened during this cycle and what was our part in it. Indications are that we are in for major changes.

        To gain from a new cycle, we must remove the old ways, we must let go of some of the current ways to make room to replace them with new ways.

        This may be likened to replacing a city block of 6 story brick buildings used for residences and businesses, with a park containing gardens, waterways, plus low rise and underground dwellings. The changes are extensive.

        The initial phase in creating a new structure is frequently the removal of the old. Holding onto old structures may cause delays and challenges in implementing new ways.

        A removal like this occurred in the Southern Bronx in the 1960s and 1970s. There was an epidemic of fires leaving buildings without services and vacant. These buildings were then demolished. By the 1980s, there were blocks of cleared, empty lots with neatly paved streets, sidewalks and functioning traffic lights on every corner. This was partly a result of the Cross Bronx Expressway construction [begun in 1955, completed in 1963] which cut the Bronx in two, straight through existing neighborhoods, displacing over 60,000 residents. By the mid 2000s, new dwellings and businesses were being constructed in significant numbers by people coming together in a spirit of cooperation.

        Not all old patterns are physically visible. Some can only be seen by going inside.

        Other not so good ones are kept hidden due to shame and revulsion. These patterns must also be brought into the light to be purged in the daylight and transmuted into love with compassion.

        This is the uniqueness of NOW. We Earthizens are at a crossroads, We can leave behind the third dimensional illusions. We can, working together, remove all the not so good habits, practices and energies that we have allowed to develop over the millennia. [See the September issue for examples.] We can do this by cooperating with each other, remembering that we are one, that we are kere to help each other and to share our joys and sorrows, laughter and love.

        We are all aspects of the divine which is Love. We all share in the shared consciousness that holds our universe together. We each have our own identity but we are not separate. Being one we all affect each other, as cells in a body. Working together to build a better world benefits us all.
        Anyone who does not wish to participate is free to leave.
