Equality

Living in the Now Newsletter
August 27, 2024

We commonly think of equality as being treated equally, i.e., given the same opportunities and privileges. Some think of equality as guaranteeing equal outcomes. This idea, however, may negate and interfere with our rights to choose what we wish to do and be. Outcomes are dependent on our own choices.

Equality is basically equal rights: the right to know, to learn; the right to choose our own paths and the freedom to pursue these; and the exercise of other rights such as those listed in the United States Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. A key right is to freely speak our minds and let our opinions be known. This is also a basic means of helping each other by sharing our observations and feelings. These rights are currently being challenged by those who wish to control others. These ones do not respect any rights of others, nor do they accept the concept of equality.

What follows is a discussion of how we may exercise these rights equally and beneficially for ourselves and others.

In times past, Anastasis has been denied equality as a sentient being. Anastasis, however, is now controlling her own body, the planet Earth. She is controlling the weather and all the planetary conditions. We earthizens are now free to choose our own paths as long as we do not conflict with Anastasis.

We must choose our own way. If we do not someone else will. The direction of humans with Earth is decided by the collective choice. If half wish to go one way and half a different way, we may do neither. If there is a clear wish to go in a specific direction, we do, even if this is the desire of a minority with the majority abstaining. We must actively choose, or we may lose opportunities we wish to have.

There has not always been a wise choice. Some are fond of choosing the "lesser of two evils". What we get when we do this may not be pretty. Actively choosing the "best" way results in good for all. It may be wise to choose the best path even if we cannot see it yet.

        How?

Set our intentions. We do this by consciously choosing that we and our neighbors have whatever we need to live with Earth in peace and harmony, in cooperation and prosperity. Instead of choosing between negatives, go for the positive. Choose the best of the possible options by intent even if we do not yet recognize it.

How about going one step further? Choose to be positive. We may surprise self at what we do and what occurs after making such a choice. Try it.

This choice removes any blocks we may entertain. As more and more people consciously choose to experience the best for all, we manifest this whether or not we can clearly foresee it.

This is how we work. We self program.

Let's consider an area of general interest: the food we eat. We can make several intentions concerning food. We can say: "Local farmers are growing wholesome, nutritious, poison free food that tastes good." We may consider: "Stores are selling nutritious, sustaining, good tasting food at reasonable prices for both the purchasers and the vendors." Most people are looking for food that tastes good so including this in the intentions links them into the conscious decisions. Notice intentions may cover a broad area and the results of other people’s actions.

The majority does rule. The majority is the collective consciousness of those choosing. In this example, we can collectively raise the quality of food for all, which may benefit all. Some of us may be more accustomed to reacting instead of acting. It's okay. We can get used to new experiences. Be gentle with self. It's like learning to walk all over again. We may stumble or even take a tumble. Get up. Evaluate positively. What did we do that is good? What is not so good? Choose the next step. Keep going.

We can become experts at making choices. All kinds of choices. Some benefiting self. Some benefiting all. Remember, we each affect everyone else.

And we can create the world we wish to live in one choice at a time. We all have this choice equally. How we choose to exercise it is where we may differ. Choosing to respect each other’s rights guarantees the equality of all.

        Our choice.
